if i remember right it’s a self powering building. By rotating it generates its own power.

‘wonderful concept, but its simply eye candy and not practical.’
Why? Elaborate.
‘if the motion actually had some use for instance generating some power(maybe it does).’
It does, it says so in the description, and in the links, and you would’ve known that had you not been too lazy to follow them and instead just spew garbage for the sake of it.
‘it just look like having fun with a lot of money.’
Your point being?

‘This is not architecture.’
Please elaborate.
Please state what kind of credentials you have to make such an asessment and why anybody should lend any credence to it.
Thanx for outing yourself as the kind of person who stands in the way of change, progress and creativity.
And off course… thanx for playing.

This design belongs to the italian designer David Fisher, and the first building will take place in Dubai in 2010 (80 floors=420m), and another one in Moscow in 2011 (contains 70 floors = 400m)

not really, it looks like the thing is rotating fast but it move’s really slow. so u wont get dizzy. And i don’t think it gay, if ya ask me i think it looks awesome considering it’s a freakin’ building moving in circles.
October 25th, 2008 at 9:17 am
Dubai isn’t a city of lost souls, and im not from it…why can’t u just accept the fact that ur country ***** compared to this? Or is just ur ******?
October 28th, 2008 at 11:06 am
Fasinating And the sping is gay
October 29th, 2008 at 5:54 am
Wouldnt you get nauseous or dizzy? What if a floor breaks how do you fix it?
Its stupid, a building/structure is a structure. The moving thing is gay
October 29th, 2008 at 9:30 am
How do you get in when it’s always spining
October 31st, 2008 at 3:47 pm

November 2nd, 2008 at 3:09 pm
the music is so HEINOUS! What the hell?
November 3rd, 2008 at 3:30 pm
oh, so you only spend money on things that help mankind? you dont buy beer? pot? drugs? i can come up w/ a list of a lot of things that dont help mankind that people partake in all the time. your comment on this building is garbage.
November 5th, 2008 at 1:14 pm
Hehe very true. The ground floor will not be occupied by residents, it’ll be the reception area, shoppin area, etc..etc.. Otherwise everytime you walk into the building the reception will be in a different place!
November 8th, 2008 at 5:12 am
The building is called the “I have no imagination, I have a very small ***** and I have too much money and want to spend it on stupid unnecessary things that does no good for mankind.” -building. It’s in Dubai, the city of lost souls.
November 10th, 2008 at 9:37 pm
wow, dizzy all day XD
November 13th, 2008 at 6:08 pm
The ground floor, and likely the lower few floors, will probably not rotate. Otherwise people standing outside could potentially be hit by a building.
November 15th, 2008 at 8:05 pm
i think dynamic architecture is innovative. but i’ll definitely be feeling sort of uneasy of these nonstop rotations.
